KnowTree is a knowledge exploration platform where AI conversations are structured as branching trees instead of flat chat threads. Users fork any conversation at any point to explore alternative paths, compare responses from different AI models side-by-side, and navigate their entire dialogue history as a visual graph.

Built for researchers, developers, writers, and critical thinkers who treat AI as a thinking partner rather than an oracle. The design philosophy is rooted in Popperian epistemology: conjecture and criticism through branching exploration.

## How KnowTree Differs from Chat Interfaces

Traditional AI chat apps (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) use linear threads — one question follows another in a single path. KnowTree structures conversations as trees where any message can branch into multiple parallel paths. This means:
